About

Welcome! My name is Montana Knight and I am a fourth year PhD candidate at North Carolina State University studying Bioinformatics. I am co-advised by Dr. Colleen Doherty and Dr. Nielsen.
Research Interests
I enjoy working with all kinds of data. As a Bioinformatician, I love finding new information and looking for trends in biological data. My experience is mostly in sequencing data, and in the age of Next Generation Sequencing there is a lot of data out there to work with. Lately I've been focusing more on RNA-Sequencing data and trying to get more information besides just gene expression information from it. I'm also focused on using publicly available data whenever possible.
